once a poet all ways a poet

I must say I came up on writing by accident. Condemned to silence by those who pledged to love and care for me, the silent retreat to a journal's page was the only outlet for expression I was allowed to experience. And so I did. From the age of eight, now twenty two years ago, I furiously released the anger, bitterness, injustice and sorrow I felt on a daily basis. That and every other journal are gone now but the thoughts and feelings I expressed remain and have developed into a passion and purpose that is mastered now.

To be a poet is more than a dedication to language and expression for, truly, it is a way of life. It is a commitment to living fully in the present, no matter how painful or horrific it is to experience. In fact, as a Poet, I'd say I'm addicted to that specific caliber of experience ... for it is in those tumultuous moments that I seem to realize the most.

So, here I am, living life as one gigantic emotional experience. My writing is unique and I have worked long and hard to develop it in such a manner that it is accurately expressive of my intellect. May you gather some thing from my response as that is all we can truly have in this life of magnificence.

To each of us,
